The History of Toe Jam Time Cloggers
Once there was a little girl of three years
old that looked up to her older brother. Since
her brother clogged she felt like she would do
the same. After some 18 years of clogging she decided that it was time to form her own group. There was no problem finding girls but boys never came running to take lessons. To find boys she went to the local soccer field to recruit. When she saw an interesting prospect she would go up to his parents and explain that she was not a weird person but she needed boys to dance.
Once the group was formed they needed a name. Jamming seemed to be a word they all liked but it needed something else. After much consideration they decided on Toe Jam Time.
The group grew to over 12 people and the dances started to get more advance. This little girl had become a great choreographer with very entertaining routines. Other wanted to join but there was just not enough room. Another group would have to be formed. Before they got going good another group was started and it has continued to grow. There are about 80 members to date and 9 different classes. Even the parents had to start a class of their own.
With so many people, a studio had to be rented. It is located in downtown Conyers, Ga. Classes are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights.
This little girl is now a married woman with a brand new baby boy, so her sister and some of the older cloggers are helping with the classes.
